DALLAS, TX (November 8, 2022) – Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), a leader in luxury hotel sales for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE), is launching new initiatives to position itself as the go-to reliable expert in the meeting and event industry. The new strategy will focus on partnerships, programming and a robust content strategy that will deliver meaningful and engaging content to industry professionals.

The new initiatives include specialized additions to the ALHI team. Debby Felker will focus on partnerships, and Rich Luna will focus on content strategy and development.

Debby comes to ALHI with more than 18 years of experience in the creative event and hospitality industry. As the new Vice President of Partnerships, Debby will oversee strategic brand partnerships, programming, new initiatives and sponsorships.

Debby has a proven track record of delivering exceptional products for clients and partners using an eye for detail and an emphasis on cultivating long-lasting relationships. She was named one of Connect Meetings 40 under 40 in 2019 and Las Vegas Hospitality Association’s Rising Star in 2012.

“As ALHI has continued to grow our reach within the Luxury Hotel space, there was a need to support and collaborate with our growing group of partnerships, programs and growing member hotel support. Debby brings a unique skill set to our ALHI family with her nearly 20 years of experience in the meeting and event industry with a broad range of responsibility,” said Mike Dominguez, President & CEO of ALHI.

Rich Luna joined the ALHI family in January 2022 as Senior Director of Content Strategy. He will not only spearhead the launch of ALHI’s new magazine, Beyond the Meeting Room, but also serve as an industry expert for the continued development of growth around content strategy.

Most recently, Rich spent nearly eight years at Meeting Professionals International (MPI) as Director of Publishing/Editor-in-Chief of The Meeting Professional magazine. He has held publishing roles at the Boy Scouts of America and in newspapers across the country. He is an ASAE Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) scholar and serves on the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) board of directors and on the U.S. Travel Association’s Communications Committee.

“In 2020, ALHI made a conscious decision to focus on a content marketing approach for our community and leverage the thought leadership position and reach. Rich brings to ALHI an incredible career in journalism and experience in our broader meetings industry. Rich helps with our focus to deliver relevant and impactful industry information for our actively engaged meeting professional community,” said Dominguez.

ALHI partners with many of the world's top hotel brands including world-class resorts, cruise ships and DMCs to provide mutually beneficial sales and marketing experiences to their clients and customers.
