DALLAS, July 5, 2022Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI),  the leader in luxury hotel global sales for meeting incentives, conventions, and exhibition (MICE), added Destination Weddings by ALHI to its list of services with the hiring of a seasoned international destination wedding professional, Kimberly Richmond. With its exclusive portfolio of independent, luxury resorts and hotels worldwide and large event planning expertise, ALHI’s addition of destination wedding planning is a natural undertaking.

Destination Weddings by ALHI offers a distinctive approach to the wedding planning industry by representing handpicked venues in unique locales where the ALHI team members have long-standing relationships with the properties they work with. The new single-point-of-contact service is designed to find the perfect destination and ideal venue for a couple’s special day and help streamline the selection process. ALHI representatives can assist with location site visits, confirming appointments, obtaining special rates, contract negotiation, and more.

Kimberly Richmond, the new director of Global Sales – Destination Weddings, comes to ALHI with over 20 years of experience in the hotel industry and more than 10 years in the world of wedding planning. After Kimberly earned her degree in travel and tourism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, she spent several years in sales and marketing with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts as well as the Director of International Sales of Sol Meli Hotels & Resorts. Later, she combined her passion for travel and experience in event planning to launch her own international destination wedding planning operation. Kimberly has also been featured in major publications like Brides, Shape Magazine, Travel Weekly as well as held the role of Romance Travel Correspondent for CBS News Travel. Most recently she accepted the position of DC-area chapter president of International Association for Destination Weddings Professionals (IADWP).   

Kim will capitalize and build on the extensive destination wedding meeting planner community with the addition of Destination Weddings by ALHI monthly enewsletter. There, subscribers will find stories on ALHI wedding offerings, ideal venues for a variety of ceremonies, and trends within the destination wedding industry.
